Two solos escaped last month, so there is no 'everything for scrap' rule like First

It's only the 5 x Solo's that have been sold on further used in a good while i.e. the 3 to Banga & the two last month.

Dundee sold on the ex Airbus/NX Airport Olympian / Royale + the 2 x Olympian / NC Palatine II originally ex CCS and B10B 1352 went to JP Coaches, their B10L's go for scrap as well, but many of those have never seen a full new coat of paint or an internal refurb

Surprised Banga didn't take advantage of any further Solos to modernise the rest of their fleet!

Banga bought another from NX after the first. They also have a Y-reg Solo, but I haven't seen it for months. Id it VOR?

I hope some B10Ls and Mercs escape the scrapman too, I know realistically most will be cannibalized, especially as the majority are not DDA, but even just a handful being saved would be nice for the nostalgic like me :)

I think one B10L that will survive is 7122 P122KSL which I understand is being donated to the Dundee bus museum as it was the first new bus delivered under NX ownership

Nice to know a B10L will survive and make it into presevation-a worthy candidate both for the significance mentioned above which I didn't know of and also because B10L liberators are rare buses representing some of the UK's first low floor buses-shame L3LOW wasnt preserved tho...

Trident 4609

NXWM Spectra, If your talking about the Y reg Solo then it was in service on the 530 so not VOR

And the other 4 to the same operator as the last two. Banga has 4 not 3, and the Y reg one was on the 530 on Saturday

Glad to hear that, 7122 Certainly seems like a worthy candidate and would at least be looked after at a bus museum. It's also nice to hear of NX donating a bus to a worthy cause too.

I believe 7114 was rather rotten inside when it was transferred down to WM so was just sent to scrap...

Yes, I think that is spot on, as it was originally destined to join TWM training fleet until inspected

I would think one will be preserved along with 4001 as being some of the first low floor buses with TWM & launching the new TWM brand. Obviously the opportunity for some lucky person to preserve 501 has been missed....

Ashley 4569

Could always preserve 502 :) i believe 4001 is in the process of being repaired so ive been told, didnt we discuss 1539 being a preservation prospect due to its original looking condition or have a few bits been removed

Gareth

As with all preservation, any vehicle will only be saved if one of us has the time, money, space and expertise.
NX could donate any unwanted vehicle, but if no one is interested (museums included) then I believe all will go for scrap.
