There was a 45** Trident on the 27E to Weoley castle, it then ran back to Northfield.

I presume it was a "sweeper" bus since all double deckers are supposed to be banned from the 27

There's two allocated boards every day

Is there a shortage of single deckers?

Nothing to do with shortage of single deckers, the double deckers are on 27E's for social distance purposes.

Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean anything has happened to it.

It completed running board 6-01 today from 04:00 until 16:00 and has been out almost every day

I wasn't aware that a YW 27E existed before this week and saw another one parked up in Northfield this afternoon.

Does anyone have any further information about when/where they operate and why as they don't appear on the timetables I have looked at.

Thanks

As I work shifts, I often see the 801 and 802 driving around. I've never once seen a passenger on them and I was wondering what there purpose was. Are they a commercial venture because they must be working considering it's been around 4 years since they launched them. Also why are they not displayed on any bus stops or network west midlands maps. I still don't get it.

It is the Yardley Wood Staff bus. It takes Yardley Wood Staff into work. It is registered so available to the public, but that is not the point of it.

It operates in the early mornings though. There's no bus services that run at that time from YW right?
