Speaking of the 5, I didn't realise it was only every 20 mins. Thought it was more frequent than that.

You'd think that the 6 would have been an ideal route for Bendibuses when they were popular in the late 1990s. I know they proved to be more expensive and less reliable than Deckers but the route would have been ideal as it is pretty straight the whole way, even with the bad congestion along the Stratford Road.

I wouldn't like to have to drive one of them through sparkbrook/hill. Driving what we have currently gets tricky with all the stupid people on the road as it is.

Was a bit annoyed this morning: missed the 3 timetabled to arrive at the Hullbrook Road stop on Trittiford Road this morning at 8:23am as it came a few minutes early. Then walked up to Yardley Wood Road to get the following 2, scheduled for 8:37am, only for that to be a no-show. The following 3 was then a few minutes late and was an OmniLink  ::)

I guess that's how karma works, serves me right for posting my April Fool's 'hoax' story this morning:

I thought that no Crimson vehicles would go (back) into the paintshop for a heritage/special livery.

It was a stab in the dark when I thought about it last night, but I've got my money on it heading elsewhere (maybe Dundee?) - seemed a little strange to me to have the logos removed.. From the front; that'd make sense, but from above the driver's window leads me to believe what I think.

If its the case that they are coming of the 6, I wander what will replace them on there? Could it be being converted to double decker operation, it would benefit from some double deckers at peak times?

Or maybe as YW are getting two additional platinums next week, two or three single decks are off to Dundee in exchange for some Streetlites for Pensnett or elsewhere - there is a shortage of small buses now with the extra work.
