B7RLE on the 11C seen in Bearwood about 17:45

There was also one on the 5 heading into City roughly 17:20 in Sparkbrook, haven't noticed one on there for a while. There did seem to be a few Geminis on the 37 this evening, which probably explains these two.

Yeah but the 11 is supposed to be 100% President operation? Or is that after YW's transfers?

AG operate the 11, not YW.

At the last count (as of Tony's fleetlists 1st June) AG have 58 Presidents, and 37 Geminis.

I don't know the exact figures, but the 11 has a PVR of about 42 buses, the vast majority of which will be Presidents, with the remaining being used on the 1, 73 and 966 also. The Geminis predominantly are used on the 5 and 31/A services, with extras on the 11A/C and 37 services. But with AG, anything can happen, so Geminis will also appear on the 1, 73 and 966, which leaves you with the odd Scania and Eclipse 2 workings on the 11 and other services. Unusual working wise, you'll almost never see a President on the 5, and very rarely one on the 37.

Not Almost never on the 5 - never, they are banned for being too tall

4609 broke down overheating this morning at Wolverhampton Bus Station Stand S

Oh dear ;D

Would've been on the 126 though so what's unusual about that? Should've been put in the breakdowns thread.
[/quotcould not find it matt as am on phone :(

4301 broke down as well minutes after with a gearbox issue on livery street 3:25pm also on the 7 pmsl

So that's were 4301 got to, rode it on my way to work and it sounded fine then.

Yesterday evening - 1837 (i think) on the 902

And btw, wouldnt personally say 4493 on the 67 was unusual, Geminis fairly frequent on there, caught one to and from work this morning
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

Is this because of a bridge on the route or because of some of the steep hills?

Why would they be banned for being too tall just because of steep hills?

I'd say either a low bridge or overhanging trees with low branches

They're too tall to pass the bridge by Sarehole Mill, I believe. In the past Presidents have had their antennas knocked off by passing that bridge

I think that's it, yeah

That's the one, the bridge on Robin Hood Lane.

The President bus can physically fit under the bridge no problems, and they were used for some time on that route. As Tony has previously explained before, its the antennas on the roof (presumably for the RTI tracking device) getting damaged by passing under the bridge which caused the Presidents to get 'banned' off the 5.

Note that Geminis are regularly used on the 5 without issues.

(Thanks for the correction Tony, I don't think I meant to put 'almost never' in relation to the 5  ;D)

Speaking of Presidents, 4112 is out on the 37 this evening, passed it on the Warwick Road in Sparkhill as I was heading home.

Also saw another President (if not the same one, as I couldn't see the fleet number) this morning on the 37.
