You should never assume, have a look at the most recent accounts filed on companies house:

Ouch but surely you would expect Y/E 2023 to be better being free of COVID

Of course, but a £6 million operating loss on £11 million turnover isn't just going to disappear overnight.

One of the most seriously known names in the coaching industry driven up the wall, what a crying shame. Bye bye TKF.

I totally agree, don't forget Clarkes of London as well. Both had been long-term succesfull operators.

Although, the TFK & Clarkes brands & livery will still be around for some time, as their former coaches are alloacted here, there & everywhere within the complete mess that is known as NETS.

Could Woods, Lucketts or Worthing follow suit, and any implications for the NXTS part of the group ?

I think the difference with Stewarts is that they didn't do normal NX work really. They are/were pretty self contained contracts wise. Woods and Lucketts (Worthing comes under Lucketts) do actually do NX work daily and so it's just a constant money merry go round with them. It could be a much more messy split if either of these split from NXTS and it would probably lose National Express money on the coaches as a 3rd party operator will make profit. Currently of course Woods/Lucketts profit from National Express coach work.... returns to the National Express coffers.
