Couldn't remember the date but I thought it was fairly soon! GHA seem to be investing well across their large network though and look a lot smarter than just a couple of years back!
@DiamondDart You have not been to Wrexham then it is like GHA are the same as they ever was. The investment that GHA has put in are for routes in the Wilmslow and Congleton area where there in Compertion with Arriva or in Warrington where they have gone head to head with Network Warrington on 2 main routes.

Never been to Wrexham in my life-purely going on the number of new buses put into their network, inlcluding Gold etc and new deckers are coming later in the year. They're even using the MetroDecker demo soon but I agree most investment has been concentrated in certain parts of the network. Perhaps that shows they're keen to look at opportunities in England due to dire conditions for bus operators in Wales where the network is less likely to sustain the investment?

Apparently three 10 plate Scania single deckers are going on the 436. So without sounding hypocritical, an upgrade to Versas.

@Reece how long did you have to wait for buses? What was the longest you waited? What time did you leave and return to Kidderminster?

All the services are either every 30/60 minutes if that helps

@Trident 4194 About 5-10 mins was the average wait but that time is ment as buffer room I.e. any Traffic drawing the journey. On the 436 especially due to the tight schedule on the route. But on the return journey there is a wait of 25 mins in Bridgnorth for the 2 hourly 297.

Stu

Today, I wanted to sample the new Platinum buses, but also wanted to go and see my parents, so managed to combine the two into one nice little Bank Holiday round trip.

From Acocks Green, got the 11A to Swan Island.
Travelled on 6707 on the 900 to Moor Street Queensway (very impressed!)
Short walk over to Colmore Row.
Instead of waiting 15 mins for the 120, got the 89 instead, to the Queens Head in Londonderry.
Walked round to my parents, caught up for a bit and had something to eat.
Then from Warley Road got the 120 to Colmore Row
Finally back for more, walked down to Moor Street Queensway, and got 6706 on the 900 back to Swan Island
As luck would have it, got straight onto an 11E back to Acocks Green village.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath
