Is it 4816 replace to new 4799?
Doubt it. The 4816 is the bus of which that "incident" happened, on Hagley Road. RIP Christina  :'(

4816 has been repainted, renumbered 4799, has a new registration and has been transferred to Yardley Wood garage.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Not an interworking, Just a vehicle swap.

Neither.
It was allocated to running board 50-06 this morning which does the 10:52 from City to Druids Heath and then runs back to garage from there. It then sat in the garage until it came out on the 6 running board this afternoon. Not an interworking or a vehicle swop just normal operating. I know because I checked what board it was on this morning to try and get a photo myself, but it was already on its way back to garage before I got to the City

I guess I got lucky photoing it on its last 50 trip of the day then, but wouldn't it have made more sense for 4395 to have done that trip (instead of all day 50) and 4799 to have stayed out on the 50 all day rather than having a mix of ALX400 and Enviro again?

Tony, Jus a question How many buses are needed on the 50 Mon-Fri.

I wouldn't know with me living in Wolverhampton.

Buses allocated to 'Shorts' running boards that come back to garage after the morning peak are usually allocated to those boards for a reason, due inspection, minor rectification work etc. This morning 4799 was still showing as 4816 on the radio system so could have gone back for that to be changed or another minor fault a driver had reported

Ahhh thats Fair enough, I guess things aren't always as black and white as they might seem. Cheers Tony

Guys I'm really sorry if this is a really insensitive thing to say; I cannot emphasise how sad it is what happened to that poor girl on 4816, but I'm slightly confused at the prospect of 4816 needing a new registration plate, fleet number and transfer over to Yardley? Can someone explain?

On a more important note, I hope whoever murdered Christina is locked up and the key thrown away, so that justice can be done for her family and friends. I'm not from Birmingham so I don't know much of what's happening.
