Quote from: Wumpty on September 25, 2024, 10:37:54 AMThe 319 used to run out of Walsall bus station via Hatherton Road, North Street, Proffitt Street and onward, not via Mill Lane. It diverted due to a lack of passenger pick ups (and I believe after a fatality involving a schoolboy on a bike).

Either way, Mill Lane is completely unsuitable for any large vehicle.
North Street is what I was thinking of.

The diversion in Walsall was due to a Flat Fire on Stafford Street/Road 45 Firefighters were at the scene. It is all open now

I was still there at 1.50pm when they were changing police officers who said it would still be shut for couple of hours so no way was it open when you posted this. It should now be open.

Lots of services starting to divert due to Flooding the X21, 76 and 27 are some I've seen. Meanwhile no mention of a known hotspot so surprised if it hasn't flooded being the Bridgeman Street bridge in Walsall affecting the 39. Also on diversion are the 49, 47 and 63

I see people on site when I walk past in the morning, around 8:45am. Don't know how long they work for, but there's no-one about when I go past in the evening around 5:30-6:00pm.

I also thought they did Roadworks between and just before 3 as when I went past Roadworks in Bilston right by the island It seemed to be never of 7:30 in the Morning and if I was lucky On a day I finished early to be on the 3PM 79 from Wolverhampton they never seemed to be working at 20 past 3 unless they were having a break, I think I saw them maybe 1 or 2 times past 3PM and once at 4 or 5PM. So I thought it was School hours but that seems ridiculous as the road is still closed and when they were doing Roadworks by me they were working at School Times albeit Minor works as they had completed most of them. The One time they were working with the noisy dusty work was emergency gas works

It feels like the 23/24 get the raw deal with the diversions when Broad Street is closed. It's a shame that a right turn out of Cambridge Street can't be allowed for the duration of the closures, to allow the 23/24 to follow the same route as the Hagley Road services. This should be possible with no traffic turning left from Broad Street. As it is, they miss a fair chunk of the normal route, with alternative stops quite a walk away. They've also been heavily delayed inbound on Bath Row / Holloway Head these last few evenings.

Izons Rd, by West Brom garage is closed for resurfacing. Funny thing is drivers don't know about the diversion/closure.
Five buses are stuck on that road atm
