Well, A decker can't have that many people standing, and if people wont go upstairs or sit down it can make a decker appear fuller than it is. That said, a b7rle iirc (i havent driven one for 2 years now :-( ) can seat 43 without any wheelchairs or prams etc, and can hold more standing. Now i know that would realistically be crammed like sardines but either it would come close or be similar in carrying potential against a decker including the standees. 

Could understand the beef if say any e200 or streetlight turned up, but a b7rle is obviously the best solution and they can utilise them.

Especially when you consider the new EVs can only seat between 64-72 and obviously have less people standing (say 10-15 max at any one time as I haven't paid attention to the official figures) making its maximum capacity 87, which means the B7RLEs can legally hold more people than them (100).
