1440 arrived in Walsall Bus Station at 17:25, the driver stopped the engine and popped off to the toilet, came back. The passengers got on the bus, the driver tried to start the engine but it wouldn't start. To save the embarrassment for the driver, the bus station supervisor told the passengers to get off because the bus is broken down.

15 minutes or so later, 1890 arrived with the engineer. 1890 ran private. 1440 is still here (18:23)!

4565 was on the 32/3 this morning but saw it in Dudley on the 126 this afternoon.

1477 got replaced by 1440 on WA 39. It is on board 39/09. 1477 was driven by an engineer, presumably, to the garage.

4606 was on WN11 yesterday morning but saw it on the 25C in the afternoon.

Also 4018 was on the 59 till it finished its duty then must have gone onto the 11 as i saw it coming into Stafford St coming into Wolverhampton having just come from Underhill

2010 swapped with 4324. 2010 was on WN 59 and 4324 arrived in the bus station 'Not in Service'. The driver on WN 59 seemed not wanted to have a single decker so swapped. 4324 departed at 19:18. 2010 must have gone to the garage.

Yes the driver of that trip didn't want a B7 so it was swapped. Caught 4324 on 59/11 about 9pm last night. One of the inspectors said to me it would be swapped at some point at the request of the driver. The same will happen tonight with the Merc on 59/11. 4324 came off the 126 I believe.

Same happened the previous evening when 1677 was allocated to the board (Should be Tridents really!). 4313 replaced it and 1677 went back to garage

Strange one to say the least -

Caught 4359 on the 76 today at 11:00 from Solihull - radio conversation before we got into Shirley but couldn't hear as at the back. When we got to Haunch Lane Yardley Wood, 4363 was sitting in front, with an engineer in attendance. Another passenger commented it must have broken down - cue the engineer coming up to our bus and saying "can you move on to the bus in front please!" So we transferred onto 4363 in front - from what I heard from the conversation between the engineer and driver 4359 was going onto the 18 - I think. Our driver transferred onto 4363 and we then set off again. The engineer though zoomed off with 4359 along the 18 route towards the Alcester Road. 4359 sounded healthy enough so can't believe there was an issue with it.

I can only assume the only reason they swapped was to reduce lost mileage.

No it wasn't taken off to go on the 18. It was 'wanted in garage'

Thanks for checking on that for me Tony.
