The one day I go swanning off to Worcestershire and I miss one of the best days in a long time. That's just typical :(

I see. Yours, oddly, look much better then ours. Although I prefer the Enviros, the B5's look like a glorified Gemini.

That's because they are Wright Gemini 2 body on Volvo B5LH chassis.  ;)
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

I haven't been on a BC B5 yet but My friend told me they are the same!

Don't take this the wrong way but everything you write seems to be shouting.

I guess they'll wouldn't be a massive change within a couple of years surely.

Only difference (not a big difference) between the two are WN's have black plastic window surroundings plus ours don't have mega rear adverts

Black window surrounds can really make a difference to the overall modern appearance of a bus in my opinion. It's a shame that when NXWM repaint or refurbish, the black surrounds are invariably lost, for example the Spectras, Presidents and more recently the PE E400s. There's a picture somewhere of one the earlier B7RLEs from the 2001 to 2152 batch without the window surrounds in black. It looked crap.

Oh yeah I remember that, I wish they had bonded windows as well, look better then the fitted ones.

If you look at Tony's first picture of 2008 and 2009 strangely they seem to have been delivered with painted windows nearside, however I have never noticed this whilst they've been in service and if you look at all the other photos the other side is left unpainted so I presume they have changed the other side to match, something to look out for in Wolvo now

+ 2016 very strange indeed and in addition to this 2030 and 2031 the repainted demonstators had the inserts into the grille left black as well which again looks better in my opinion

Most, if not all of 2001-2029 (apart from 2013 obviously) were delivered to Walsall without the black window surrounds painted (like on 2009, the first pic at the bottom is when delivered and the second is after logo's and the black paint were applied), and they were painted black before entering service. The later examples were delivered with the black already applied.

633 out on the X1 today, nothing unusual about that, but for some unknown reason it took up the 11:50 Wolverhampton to Merry Hill working at Sedgley.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Trident 4609

Spectra on WN 82 (Didn't catch the fleetnumber)
4540 on WN11

Also in Wolverhampton.

Although becoming less unusual just to note 5511 was on the 59

449x (4493 if my memory serves correctly, was going past on me bike at the time) on the 33 at One Stop
And a trident (4128?) on the last 51 from town
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....
