Never seen so many West Midlands Travel Ltd on one of those lists! Interesting how many of the tenders only had 1 bidder

Looking at the value of the 257 tender it isn't worth a great deal

Must admit I was expecting a few more tenders than that, as April is normally the main tranche of tenders

Most of these contracts are for early non commercial journies not large evening/weekend contracts hence the small amounts.Thats why nxwm do the 257 and Hansons the 226.Don`t forget that Arriva put in 5 year prices last time the big contracts came up so they are`nt up for Yonks.

That's a shame, thought we had a little excitement with a Hansons coup over Diamond...... The Arriva ones may come back before the five years is up yet when they realize the prices they bid are not sustainable, the Enviro 200's going only backs that up

The bus company is West Midlands travel ltd which is a wholly owned subsidary of nex plc and they trade to the public as NXWM but the legal name is WMT ltd.

The variations for the services on VOSA use the incorrect service numbers for example it still has the 406 instead of the 46.

I know from a business point of view it makes sense, but I find it sad that NXWM keep cancelling smaller local routes that serve local communities i.e. 651. I remember when there were a ton of these kinds of routes that zigzagged around and now they're all but gone or being operated by shoddy small bus companies that don't seem to operate to a timetable and use ancient vehicles.
