Because most NXD buses do not have 'Not in Service' on the displays
321 dose have Not In Service, look at the picture below.

Tonys second picture down http://wmbusphotos.com/NXWM/0116-0422/321.html

I saw lots of Dundee vehicles displaying 'sorry not in service' returning to the garage when I was there

its true to say that most hanover displays dont have not in service programed into them . lots of drivers use the other obscure blinds like happy birthday, congratulations and merry christmas. they seem to be getting round to re-programming them now ,

But 321 obviously has Not in service programmed into the Hanover display so that is not why 321 was displaying Merry Christmas.

I like the black below the windscreen on these repainted eclipses, with the paler green detailing below that. Minor details yes, but they do enhance the appearance of the buses and much smarter than the plain one colour front of the old livery.

Look forward to seeing some Wright Volvos in the crimson livery.

I think the current fleet should look like this:

National Express Dundee Fleet
321; 731-734; 2030-2058; 4025-4026/4028/4036/4045-4046/4074/4103/4110-4112/4115-4124; 4680-4686; 5422-5430; 7001-7018; 7067; 7129/7147/7153/7155/7157
7159-7161/7165-7167/7169-7170/7172-7174/7176/7179; 7323; 7345; 7423-Crew Bus

Trainer at NX Dundee
1366/7151/7419

Withdrawn at NX Dundee
322/7127-7128/7175/7344

(to come: new 431-435 & from NXWM 1774-1787)

I suppose it would have been possible to eradicate further, the 7xxx number series, by renumbering Gemini's 7001-18 (4782-99, a batch of eighteen fleet numbers was 'free' until 4816 became 4799 in 2013). The Dundee fleet has a more 'NX West Midlands' look about it these days.

Tony

You've forgotten 1787 which has been in service for a couple of months

0321 and 7153 have been withdrawn (since yesterday).

7419 was scrapped in June.

Yes, thanks for that (and of-course 1787 is already in service). I think 7419 may have been an ex-Your Bus vehicle (or at the least, ex-Travel Your Bus) from the mid 90's.

7419 was an ex Travel Your Bus vehicle new in 1995 (Your Bus was taken over by WMT in March 1994). Originally with double doors for an Airport contract (replacing the monorail between the Airport and Bham International) it was rebuilt to single door in 1999.
