On the 14.34 19 from wednesfield grand total of five passengers incl me the one going the other way wasnt any better,  about 8 all sat downstairs.  Would be interesting to know if arriva are actually making anything at all on the route.  I cant understand why they insist largely on deckers ehen theres so many routes elsewhere that would really benefit from them

I'm sure that this question has been asked and answered several times before.

The buses on the 19 are also used for the 2 early morning and late night Amazon, Rugeley services which always carry full loadings and are hugely profitable. This means that the work those double deckers do throughout the day is profitable.

I understand that Arriva are taking some South Staffordshire school contracts from January which will use some buses from the 19 and 10/A/B.

Theyll be needed those school contracts as amazon finishes soon.  If the  buses werent required for other duties and used solely on the 19 I would say theyd make a HUGE loss. Nobody uses it

It must be allocated to Wednesfield. As it is not a bus, that may be the reason it does not appear on fleet lists.

Got fleet number wrong!! Its OUI2376 and S208DTO with seatbelts and the astra van isn't engineer atall they have 2 1 is the "staff shuttle" and the other is part of the promotions team

Bob, the occassionally journey and some exaggerated theories are merely a snapshot of the 19 which is as usual slating Arriva. The 19 does get used hard as it is to believe, peaks and troughs maybe but surely they would know not to keep a route that's tanking. As has been said, the DB250's see a variety of use so work out as profitable

Ive been on it about 25 times since October its been dead everytime...every other 19 has been dead thats gone past in the other direction.  When there have been passengers on theres never been enough to fill the lower deck, and its nearly always pensioners. .if they werent used on amazons I cannot see how it could be profitable. ..
