NX enters German Rail Market / German Rail Contracts

NX group have this morning announced that they have been awarded two regional commuter rail contracts in Germany from Dec 2015 for 15 years. Both contracts are currently operated by Arriva's parent company Deutsche Bahn. NX have also pre-qualified for a further 3 rail bids in the country.

Wonder if its revenge for West Mids sucess in the bus sector as DB are a larger player in this market than NX

Doubt it, Arriva have only won a few Centro Tenders.....

Germany is a big market for rail and I believe NX may also be looking a setting up an express coach operation by the name of Deutsche Express, now they have secured two contract wins in the country this seems the next logical move.

Probably a more profitable venture, than buying the Kidderminster and Redditch operations off First!  ::)

NX Group, have announced this morning that they have been shortlisted for another German rail contract centred around Berlin currently operated by Deutsche Bahn
