its not only Birmingham garages that are short of buses!

4453 (Coventry Corporation ALX 400) had a more mundane day on 6/6A
the gem of the day
4694 (Gemini) on 7 (almost last bus out) spent the whole day doing the on the hour departures to Brownshill Green.

All Single deck Scanias were in service and ran as booked thirteen on the 20 and two of them on the 1. First time no Mercs on 20s on a weekday for ages.

Valandil

YX55 FSA (Ring and Ride) is on the rail replacement shuttle 5e for service 5.

JoNi - Bendis on the 21 are not unusual workings and Mercs on the 10 are not unusual working!

1555 on the 13
4696 on the 6 6A

Ash

1877 on the 19
4453 on the 7

JoNi

1555 (Merc) on 12 am peak
1595 (Merc) on 23S and 13 pm peak
1680 (Merc) subbed onto 21 during pm peak
4693 (Gemini) on 16S and 12 pm peak

After the network review last year every working on the 10 was converted to ALX 400 Tridents/Volvos, even when the extra bus was added to combat late running. This capacity increase was presumably to cope with additional passengers from the Henley Road area after the network was "modernised" by the withdrawl of the 33 from Bell Green. With Mercs now used on 10, passengers are forced to stand on a bus that is too small! I'm sure they're happy with this normal operation!! ;)

I was on 1598 on the 9 today and was full standing only until the city centre then was 3 quarters full to Green Lane. What happened to A-Line working on the 10 did they withdraw off the service and are they still in business.

JoNi

Yes they're still in business. They only seem to operate the 735 to Corley area under tender to Warwickshire county council. It is a Solo presumably owned by the council. Peak hour journeys are worked from/to Nuneaton by De Courcey using a Dennis Trident to cope with school children.

They no longer run the 10 in Coventry, the 101 from Coventry to Rugby or their 4 in Rugby. Don't know the dates of withdrawl.

Late Saturday night in the car saw a NXC bus in a red and cream livery supporting 100 years of transport or something. I think it was a 12 or something it was on the A45 at the Sainsburys/Pizza Hut/ KFC retail park place.

That'll be 4453:
