Anyone had the unfortunate pleasure to be near 638? That was, by far, the slowest bus I have ever driven in my entire life. I believe it has been raped all over the black country prior to us having it for 9 long months (Subtle joke there..). Luckily I dont remember when this particular heap was new. Well I wouldn't, cause it was West Brom's to begin with.

Drove it at Walsall. Not the best of B6. But 639/640 great buses .

They are all crap!!! slow, underpowered, won't go up hills, unreliable, faulty buzzers & gauges, uncomfortable seating position, won't go round bends.....but I kinda like em for some reason.....
Hands up who named 620 'Spirit'????? I love that and think it sums these dreadfull buses up they have plenty of spirit (stick with me on this son) it's like the're the last fighting survivers of the 'real' bus era it's like the O405N's they are turning plastic but still smell of diesel and leave oil everywhere.
Gone or going are those days...In the future I don't think it will be so painful watching a Wright bodied B5 getting crushed or see one rotting in a field!!

Well 555 is one of my favourite buses in the whole fleet. B6s have more personality than any B7.

I liked 501 :(. But I agree, they do have a lot more of a personality than the B7RLE
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters

555 is by far the fastest and best B6 I've been on. It absolutely flies, I don't know what people like about 508 as it seems feeble in comparison and sounds boring

And 600's a good one, was fairly sad when that one left PE

Was really sad when 600/1 left PE as they had been there since Travel Merry Hill days
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

508 and 555 are both screaming catss i think, 502 had a worn diff last time i had it, added to that the PE driver who likes overevving B6s, hellfire.

As for the WN ones, 638 is the smartest looking one, havent had it since its Walsall days so thatd be just after its refurb in 2011, if i remember it had the metal seat backs at the point which ruined the new interior, 600 and 639 are two of the best B6s.

Got a lot of love for the B7 ALX, as for older Tridents, i had 4343 on an evening 50 last night, smooth as silk it was, BCMobile you may have drove that one, I mean we didnt top 20 mph and the moseley road is alot smoother than it was, much prefer 41s 42s and 43 tridents plus 4565-84.

The Tridents that have been re engined as far as I know are... 4148 4166 4172 4178 4179 4185 4186 4586 4619 4624 4630 4633 4634, If I remember when we dicussed this when the route one article came out, I think was to re engine 4610 - 4634

Yes it has.

Also 4166 and 4186 were already done at Wolverhampton. These were done along with 4586, which also has the extra filler cap lower down, a good few years before these.

Julie was re-engined at the same time as being refurbished/repainted allover red some time ago now

Ashley 4569

Bit of a rarity that 4586 is on a route that isn't the 126
