The 451 uses the branded presidents for the service but rarely sees the toothpaste presidents that are not branded for example 4053, it also sees the nxwm livery presidents as well as a few gemini's and mercs

7027 on the 28 this morning. Apologies if this is the wrong place... although certainly news-worthy, i didn't think it was worth its own thread  :)

All of 7021 to 7027 should have been out on the 28
I know 7021, 7022, & 7027 were

John

I saw most, if not all of the buses on the 28, the ex Dundee OmniLink's on there were 7021, 7022, 7023, 7026 and 7027, which were the ones that I were looking for. Also on there were 1401, 1405, 1462, 1469, 1473 and 1835 & 1842.

Theres not many 451 branded buses left is there ??, Wouldn't be smart if garages unbranded some buses then they can be placed on other routes ??. I think thats were a little of NXWM problem lies  ::)

The 451 branded Presidents are 4044, 4047, 4049, 4054, 4055,  4083, 4087 and 4114.

4028 BC - AG (on 31 today)
4029 WB - AG
4522 AG - WB (on 451 today)
4530 AG - WB (on 451 today)

MW

Leaving 4517-4521 & 4529 at AG which I assume will move eventually with the recent block fleet changes we've been having. The Presidents suit AG better than BC I think personally and do look very smart, but I feel an overkill of Presidents at AG is soon approaching. Any idea if AG will lose any of 4635-4679 which could do with a refurb!

Ashley

Have any more Mercs been withdrawn yet?

winston

I would have thought that there will be some Mercs withdrawn in quantity shortly when all of BC's Volvo B7RLE are in service. This will result in Omnilinks 1801-1817 being cascaded to BY to replace T & V reg Mercs on route 17 (some may go to PE or WB to replace 15-- series examples). Then there are Omnilinks 1788-1800 which will also be cascaded to an unconfirmed destination

AG need the extra Presidents as eventually they will service the outer circle no. 11

Great, so the longest continuous bus route is going to be worked by V reg buses. Can't the 11 have some investment to make it a proud, flagship route, not run by cast offs.

Stu

It would only be a short-term measure; I would imagine that the next big order of double-decks (sometime next year?) would see the Presidents finally get withdrawn.

On the other hand, the Presidents, having been refurbed and repainted, still are mostly in very good condition, I don't have a problem with them being used on the 11.
