I would have expected Perry Barr to lose more ALX's. But 4293 - 99 to move I'd assume

I would say 8 in total from WB inc what's moved already.

Expect some more tomorrow and then you may think differently

I expect 4292 also to come from WB also which tridents have disappeared.
Also wondering where 4733-4737 will transfer when platinum arrives YW or WB
Fits both numbering sequence.

4134, 4138 and 4140 are the only Tridents to have moved from WA

I'd hope YW would get a bulk of the E400s to replace the Presidents which are getting on. The batch of 4763 to 4776 would be ideal - 14 of them to replace 13 Presidents. That would actually allow an upgrade on the 2/3 and would actually mean YW would have compliant buses on its routes into Birmingham, fitting in with the future plans with the emissions zone.

Also reduces YW's fleet age and allows Tridents to operate the 18, 49, 76 exclusively.

Why would you transfer E400s out of YW, just to transfer similar vehicles of the same age back in? There are far more routes deserving of high back seats than the 2 or 3

126 springs to mind!!

I stand corrected then. I thought all the Mercs and Presidents would be withdrawn when the Enviros arrived. I imagine 4292-4299 will transfer WB to WA
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
Local Routes: 21, 89, 48/A, 12/A, 54/A
Semi-local routes: 80, 87

Liberator9

Well it's happened before - we had Enviro 400s come in in 2013, and less than two years later we have the same age Enviro 400s leaving YW.

And let's be honest - high backed seats are hardly that much of an upgrade. They currently look a mess outside and need work inside. And why not have the 2/3 get a bit of attention - if it can't get 7 year old unrefurbished Enviro 400s, then what does it get. The Tridents will need replacing at some point on it due to the emissions changes in the future. No doubt other major corridors will be getting new buses in the near future, and hardly sounds a great plan to have 7 year old vehicles upgrading main corridors.

Yes, two years later, not at the same time, and both of those moves were upgrades. The highback E400s will be getting a retrim & repaint this year

Liberator9

Right - if they are retrimmed and repainted then, then that is good news. Those refurbished would be an upgrade and I suppose if they went for a route like the 126 or 94 that would probably be more viable.

For one there would not be enough for the 126. 22 boards altogether on the 126 (20 all day boards) and only 14 High Back seated E400's

Tony

4028; 4045 & 4074 are now showing as transferred AG to Dundee, not sure if they are physically in Dundee yet
