What sense would there be in that? The ALXs in the large part are now 11-12 years old, some even older - NX will replace the Presidents first (after the Mercs/Libs/B6s)  then move on to the Tridents, in the logical order. So there are likely to be ALXs going either next year or the year after - they'll be 13-15 years old. If NX work on that principle the 56 regs shouldn't go until 2018/2019. They are still good overall, but NX selling them at around 15 years old might  still get a large majority sold in the second hand market, at a good price. There are still a numerous amount of step entrance deckers that will need to be withdrawn due to DDA regs.

I believe Dean Finch is aiming towards NX having an ultra modern bus fleet and bringing the groups average age down either further, as time goes on I expect more & more buses will be sold on for further service rather than scrapped, particularly as the Presidents & ALX400's will find buyers on the second-hand market much easier

If it was a loan I would have put it under vehicle loans!

you can now add to those the one I just mentioned under the Pensnett thread. I wasn't sure initially whether that was a loan or transfer, but is now fonfirmed as a transfer
