Not sure if its allowed or even if this is the right place but West Midlands Bus Users are reporting that there is a scam on facebook (not sure about other social media) offering 6 months free travel for £2 using Swift. The scam post shows a Swift card and images of a tram and two NXWM buses.

I reported this to Facebook and got a message back saying it didn't break their advertising standards rules! says a lot about Facebook doesn't it?  There's a similar one for Great Western Railway which Facebook are still taking advertising revenue from as well

Yes, I have been saying the same thing for some time now! There are numerous variations of this scam, and its the same format as the fake 'free UK rail travel' offer from GWR.

(Quite why GWR would offer free UK rail travel across the UK when they don't operate across all the UK is the dead giveaway there!)

It's become a waste of time reporting any type of scam to Facebook as they're clearly not interested and very rarely do they remove them.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Their damm algorhims are a PITA though, as I've been suspended since early November for something totally false, despite putting in an appeal!

You cant even contact them to plead your case either.

You have to wait......and wait.......

Not happy :(

Thanks, yes that's my website!

The offending post in question:
You cannot view this attachment.

There are numerous variations on this theme, as well as one for Coventry I also understand there is one for Solihull as well. And the theme is no doubt repeated up and down the country.

And as Tony pointed out above, the same format was used to try and scam people into buying a 'free rail travel card' supposedly offered by GWR. When I contacted GWR about this, they replied back expressing their frustration, as they had made numerous complaints themselves to Facebook that were never acted on.
