Two more recent arrivals at Royal Motorways:
AT51 CVS - Dennis Javelin/Plaxton Prima - purchased from Cymru Coaches but new in 2002 to MOD.
UL55 UNO - Scania N94UD/ East Lancs - new to UNO Bus, Hatfield in 2005.

UL55 UNO (the only double decker in the Royal Motorways fleet) is running each day on the 501 school service from Bromsgrove to Alcester. It has replaced SW09 UMD (Volvo B12BT/ Plaxton Panther 15 metre coach) on this duty.

Quick question , does the 501 service operate to the same route/timetable as Green Bus did ?? Thanks.

After a chat with a Royal Motorways driver yesterday , I can confirm that the only d/d in their fleet is registered UJ55UNO. It is normally based at Redditch.

My apologies for giving an incorrect registration number for this vehicle.
Although new to UNO Bus of Hatfield, UJ55 UNO came to Royal Motorways from Whippet, Swavesey in an overall dark blue livery.

Absolutely no problem.  I spend literally hours trying to decipher my hand written 'scribbled down' bus and coach registrations. For example I have written down the 'reg' of a double deck coach only to find the 'reg' is of a minibus based in Shetland . . . . .  :undecided:  The registration can usually be corrected by various methods including reports sent in by folks like yourself  -  keep up the good work.

Can anyone tell me what duties coach AT51CVS normally works on please ??

Royal Motorways has recently purchased LIG 9127, a 1992 3-axle Leyland Olympian/ Alexander with 102 seats. It has come from Ambassador Travel and was originally FC 8248 with China Light and Power. It is likely to be used on the school service 501 from Bromsgrove to Alcester and replace UJ55 UNO, a 2005 Scania N94UD/East Lancs D/D, on this duty. It has been painted in Royal Motorways livery.

LIG 9127 was on Evesham Road in Redditch on the 501 this morning proudly displaying "Mega Bus 102 seats" on the front in very large letters.

Is UJ55UNO still with Royal ?? Or was it traded in for the 'mega decker' ??

UJ55 UNO was parked at the Redditch depot a few days ago so presumably it wasn't traded in.

I saw the 1992 3-axle Leyland Olympian/ Alexander again this morning but it has been re-registered from LIG 9127 to J960 TBW. I think this is the registration it was given when it came back from Hong Kong (where it was registered FC 8248).
