I know this was taken by a site user but uh, can somebody please explain this photo to me?

I'm extremely confused.

I saw this and thought what!! Unless it was on rail replacement work and going to Bournville station like 27... perhaps

lgr

Very much doubt it. I saw the First replacements back in April/May (around then?) and they all just said "Rail Replacement" on the front and sides... it's a very odd picture indeed. :o

First ran the 27 (I think they done the 76 as well) on Boxing day last year, using an Enviro300, so it may have be programmed into the display of some or all Redditch buses. The driver might have put the route on the display especially for the photo.

Maybe John-tho I didnt know they worked on Boxing Day

You must be right - First's Redditch garage certainly ran on the 27 and 76 on Boxing Day for Centro.

It was on a normal Redditch service allocated to either the 143 or 146. Hope that helps

To clear things up, this was on the 146 and as i knew the bloke driving asked him to put 27 on the blind, all LED buses at Redditch were fitted with 27 and 76 for the Boxing Day services which saw only Enviro operation, however the Tridents were on standby uncase ALL the enviros messed up.

This vehicle was on the 146 and the 27 was put on the blind during the drivers break in Birmingham.
