Interest is this all to do with elections and the councils clean air theft scheme. Fair play if Brum will have cheapest fair as per claim.

National Express have been planning this since the first lockdown, but the rules on Government support during the lockdowns prohibited fare changes

Andy Street taking credit for something that has been long planned?

Must be an election coming up...  ;D

How will this affect other bus operators? Presumably they'll also be forced to reduce their fares?
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

This was a quote from August 2020

One way to rebuild patronage when social distancing ends is that we will use the Chancellor's job retention bonus (the thousand pounds per furloughed employee still employed in February 2021) to make travel cheaper when social distancing ends. This will involve cheaper fares
