Is the G1 the first Stagecoach service to lose Gold status?

It isn't.  In Devon around 2015 or 2016, the Dartmouth - Totnes 'Gold' service was replaced by extending the non Gold X64 (Exeter - Totnes) to Dartmouth.

I'm not aware of any others.
