I've looked around for details of the successful £33.2m Centro bid, approved on http://www.dft.gov.uk/news/press-releases/dft-news-20120627a/.

The most useful thing I can find on it is actually in a newspaper!

Does anyone have links to the proposal, or some idea of the details of how the bus services might be impacted?

The Birmingham Post article sums it up really. For buses it will mean more new shelters, Real Time Information and the continued development of the Smartcard.

Not sure if there is much else that Centro can do as they don't of course actually operate run the privately owned deregulated buses.

Thanks for this.

It's just, compared with some of the other proposals, the one from Centro is for such a massive amount of money, and seems to be doing so much less!
Maybe it's just because the Centro area is very large though, and the improvements will be across most of the network.
