Hi guys. I'm trying to think what company ran this route. Used to remember seeing it as a child. I know the 118 went to Erdington and a green ALX200 or ALX300 used to run on it. Anyone have any ideas what company used to run the route?

Thanks. I think it was the first bus I ever saw. It's the earliest bus I can remember seeing.

118 started off as a twm route then transferred to travel your bus.  At the same time as it transferred to tyb petes started a competing service 5 mins in front.
Eventually tyb pulled off the service & a short time later petes lost interest leaving it for nbb to fill the void.

Yeah, fondly remember blasting down Aston Expressway in the mid-90s on WMT Lynxes, didn't carry loads but I used it for quickly linking to the 966 route so I think it was the only WMT Expressway service to Erdington at the time.
City - Erdington - Streetly.

There was an Wmpte 118 as early as July 1982, according to the as dated old North Division timetable I have.

Interesting does anyone remember when the (77) 377 was extended to Chelmsley Wood via Erdington, Bromford and Shard End to compete with 25??

It was early 1994 for about 6 months that ended June 1994 in competition with Stevensons 601 which later became 25.

The 25 Erdington-Chelmsley Wood was operated by Central Coachways then passed to Washwood Heath Garage
But was soon withdrawn.
