Also on the second picture taken last year of 4725 it is driving around with its main beam on! I appreciate the headlight is out but to dazzle other road users is worse than a light out!

One would hope that they would be dealt with in exactly the same way as VIP as technically it is exactly the same offence. There is no difference between one digit being wrong and it having completely the wrong registration. A company like NX should have had systems in place to stop it ever getting onto the road in the first place, just as any other operator.

How many died and were injured?
Don't you start.

It was corrected after a few hours in service on the first day

My point was the over-reaction to a teeny insignificant infraction of an obscure licensing regulation that could never harm anyone!

It made me smile and shake my head!

Incorrect registrations happen every now and again.
The last I recall seeing was when 3050 received it's second repaint into BCT livery. Ran in service as F50FOX instead of F50XOF

And my point was that some people's over reaction on here depends on who the operator is.

I had a feeling that would have been the case but wasn't sure as today was the first time I've seen it.

With you.

I chuckled at a stranded VIP blocking Gravelly Hill this morning.

However insignificant, the law is the law and you can't pick and choose unfortunately.

What is significant is that the error was spotted and corrected quicly, the sign of a good operator.

As has probably been stated (or at least alluded to) already, there is a big difference between manufacturing a number plate incorrectly by accident, and putting a number plate from one vehicle onto another deliberately.

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Not if you are a Police Officer trying to identify a vehicle. The offence is identical out on the road.

Same offence but different punishment it's different to make a mistake than to wilfully perform an act.
