NXWM's policy on bus diversion?

To me, it seems like it's a hit or miss as to whether if the diverted bus will stop at whatever bus stops they happen to pass through while on diversion.

A notable example I can think of is 900 and 957 being diverted whenever there is problem with the small heath bypass, and those bus usually won't stop at bus stops along Coventry Road, but then they do sometimes stop which can be confusing to the passengers.

The 900 and 957 have the alternate route via Coventry Road on their registration with VOSA so they are allowed to go either way depending on traffic. They should not stop on the Coventry Road when using that route as it is not on the registration.
Other routes when on temporary diversion are usually instructed to use bus stops on the alternative routes.

Just to clarify, 900/957 have alternative route on their registration because it sometimes goes via Coventry Road if the traffic on A45 is bad (or is it because how often it occurs?), so it's out of choice, not necessity. On other bus routes, alternative route on registration is not needed because it doesn't have diversion that often and when it occurs it has to take alternative route, so it's necessity?

Is there something like this on other bus routes?
