Would it be such a bad thing to return to the P.T.E. blue and cream livery?

Well yes it would as it would involve repainting near 1600 buses for starters. And the blue/cream colours, belong to an age long gone. They'd look horrible now.  :o

Like pretty much any combination Blue and cream would look good if applied in a modern combination. Especially if the cream was maybe slightly lighter than BCT/WMPTE.
