I went past the NXWM Kings Ferry garage on the train a couple of days ago and noticed what looked like an Alexander Ultra bodied single deck in Kings Ferry livery in the middle of the yard partially surrounded by coaches, anyone know if one of the 1501-1514 batch has been transferred there, and if so, why?

Saw 1501 re-numbered to 9501 in Coventry last week.
Are any other trainers in the 15XX series now in 95xx
re-numbered series ???

Don,

Are you sure it wasn't The Kings Ferry's only service bus YP52CUU, Scania / Castrosua?

That bus is unique in the UK and it was with Travel Ludlows prior to The Kings Ferry buying it, if was for sale recently but haven't seen any record of it being sold

I saw it too, I don't think it is an official re-numbering, but who knows. 3 have gone; 1511 sold to EMR for scrap 5/13 and 1502/1506 were sold to PVS, Barnsley for scrap 5/12.

These are the ex gas buses arent they?

One was parked opposite my house last Wednesday around 12 on training duties.

Apart from X51 peaks, thats the only times I see NX buses on my road now!

Yeah that's the one - very strange looking rear end, and generic shapes for the rest of it. I went down a few times and eventually saw it at the depot.

I'm presuming some elements of the existing NXWM training fleet will disappear when the Mercs are introduced - it will be interesting to see if it will be 1501-1514 or B10Bs.

Don,

Thought it may have been that one, 2 of the Mercs may replace the last 2 Metrobuses (9951 & 9959). There doesn't seem to be any great urgency in getting the Mercs in the training fleet, I think a couple of the older ones may have now been converted but haven't seen any reports of them being repainted in to allover white training livery

mranon

think they have 1687-1692 if i read correctly (mercs) for the training fleet. I was wondering if they were to replace the 2 coaches plus metros
