I think the Hourly service from walsall to B'ham on a SUNDAY may be operated by 2 car 170 diesels on a regular basis instead of the usual 323 electrics. I have always liked these diesel units - the Lazarini seating design is a lot more comfortable-I never did like the 3+2 arrangement in the sprinters, but then they were a  High Density design-cant have both unfortunatly :'(.

Yeah, on evenings and Sundays, both Walsall services are run by Class 170s, they interchange at New St (Rugeley becomes Walsall stopper, vice versa). I am a big fan of the class 170, for comfort and speed they are very good, not to mention they're the only DMUs that LM own with tables
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
"Around the corner" routes: 21, 89
Local routes: 12/A, 48/A
Semi-local routes: 54, 80, 87

Some of the Snow Hill line trains would be nice but more than likley too long or not suitable.

I'd love them instead of the 170s, they seem to have far better acceleration
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....
