Does anyone know when the real time information will be 'switched on' at the new stops in Birmingham City Centre?
Hope this is soon, and it works, as trying to read the timetables in the dark is a nightmare!

No idea, but i hope they're more 'true to reality' than the laughably inaccurate ones at my local stop*.

There's a limit to how often a 'due' bus fails to materialise, or a ghost bus blasts past just as you've wandered off to have a smoke cos there's nothing showing for the next 10 minutes etc, before you lose any trust in it & revert to the good ol' mark one eyeball to see when your next bus is due!

* No, i'm not referring to the programmed 'scheduled' times displayed for the non-rti company

The odd 'due' one that disappears always baffles me. only ever seen a couple, but you do wonder sometimes if some car's satnav has got picked up by the system or something.

The '10 minutes' or whatever is always guesswork based on distance away and average time it takes a bus to get to that stop from that place so can be wrong, but once it gets to due it should be registering on the system as less than a minute away - so where does it go?

Now which 'non-RTI' company would you be standing around looking for?

Unfortunately, it's more than a few that disappear. It possibly happens more often than i suspect, my current view of the rti display is that it is there for entertainment purposes only!

My daughter watched two (rti) 'services' count down from three minutes yesterday & subsequently disappear into the ether. The 'ghost buses' (one's which appear despite not registering on the rti) are easier to explain, either not fitted with or non-functioning rti.

As for the 'non-RTI' company. I couldn't possibly comment, athough i do have a copy of their due times to hand, so don't need to consult the rti display in any case.  ;)

I managed to hit the jackpot a couple of weeks ago where i had 3 dues on the same route...then eventually 3 buses appeared!

Must be the 33 then!? I've seen 6 in a row in the early Gemini days, funny thing was they all sat at Pheasey and all took a break! They were quing back to Schofields island!

No...the 246 at Stourbridge Interchange

Well the rti for the 246 has to be one of the worst I've come across, in comparison to the 9 for example, also from Stourbridge which works well, must be because its solid Enviro's!

However the RTI does allow on the 246 for you to work out when the next Eclipse or Enviro is due, as for the majority of Mercs the RTI just displays the due time rather than the minutes
