I recall seeing London MHV6 (I think it was that) receiving very heavy collision damage a couple of years ago (struck by a fire engine) - was it ever repaired?

MHV6 currently in service on route 40 (from London Vehicle Finder) so if it was that one it was repaired

First Leicester 35174, which hit the bridge while on the 22 in November. Still not been touched by Wrightbus and is still not repaired. That wasn't even 3 years old when it crashed.

First Leicester 35186, which hit a care on the 54 also is next to 35174 and hasn't been repaired yet either. That had less significant damage, and only happened in around March.

I am sure 4014 went back to optare to be rebodied, due to length of time required it didn't go ahead, so it went another body builder which couldn't take on the work because optare had cut some important parts of the frame.

Tony would know more on this

I think it was due to be rebodied by East Lancs maybe? I don't know the reason though as to why they didn't or couldn't do the work.

Coventry Lynx 1238 lasted 9 years written off due to Accident damage. Although lynxs was starting to be Withdrawn. Around 1999 well before there time in My opinion at least 98% went to new owners. Just the odd. One being scrapped early.

2002 - 1213
2003 - 1227
2007 - 1299
2008 - 1080 1085 1290

1238 was struck by a lorry one January 1999 morning at the London Rd/Daventry Rd junction in Coventry - was not surprisingly very badly damaged.

There was a spate of fires in the late 70s/early 80s in the city, including one of the East Lancs 4447-66 batch (delivered to CT spec but in blue and cream) 4454 was heavily damaged by fire in c.1982 - there is a picture of it somewhere on the internet. Not repaired after 8 years service. Going back even further to 1970; Coventry Transport Leyland Atlantean/Willowbrook 339 received similar damage and was scrapped too - so there never was WMPTE 339Y.
