At about 13.40 screen at Grand Central was showing trams only running from Bull St. Car 30 (which has no logo or number on the  Birmingham end) was standing at the top of Corporation St with a fitter in the cab, and Bull St stop was showing next tram 39  minutes.

Checking the photo  the Birmingam end actually has ghosts of the old logo and fleet number 28

Have 28 and 30 swapped numbers? Or perhaps 30 has 28's front end.
