Trans-Pennine have just ordered 13 rakes of Loco Hauled coaches from CAF with motive power to be provided by Class 68 Locomotives - Proper Trains coming back without an engine under the passenger compartment shaking you and deafening you - yippee!

The quote states 'some' of the 68s are already in the country, so looks like DRS ones. They are going on the Liverpool - Newcastle services

Liverpool - Newcastle until the bi-modes arrive, then they'll work Scarborough and Middlesborough services.

Believe there may be another order of '68s' coming, otherwise DRS won't be able to use any !
Interestingly, the coaches can do 125mph whilst the 68s are limited to 100mph, which means that they can be used with faster locos should the need arise.
