NX Germany 'city2city'

Not yet seen any mention of the launch in the UK national press / trade press, but NX have now commenced their new 'city2city' coach operation from 2nd April with an initial 3 routes centred on Frankfurt in Germany with brand new Mercedes Tourismo

Things seem to going pretty well for NX in Germany, they are adding 2 new routes in North Germany & increasing the number of journey's on one of the initial routes introduced.

The fleet now comprises 22 x Mercedes-Benz Turismos

City 2 City in Germany is now a year old, NX are planning to expand the network to include a further 4 cities in the coming months

NX subsidiary city2city are claiming to have tripled their network from 1st July in cooperation with BerlinLinienBus

NX Group are shutting down their 'city2city' German coach business on 13th October due to running up losses of £2 Million as they don't see a way a building a sustainable business due to low ticket prices & a highly competitive market, I assume the rail business will be unaffected/continue:

Interesting with differences in success between NX city2city & MeinFernbus which appears to have also started from scratch a year earlier than city2city
