Here's me thinking that time I done a trip on the Outer Circle was a long trip ! Quite the route I must say, why did NX stop it ?! I'd prefer this to the 126.

To me, the best route between Birmingham & Wolverhampton was the 79, when HY, WB & WN all operated it together there was plenty of variety and with a frequency of every 6 minutes on a Saturday in the 70s, you were never short of a bus. Fortunately in those days, the traffic through Handsworth wasn't as bas as it is now, however with the 74 also being every 6 minutes you got bus jams sometimes.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

I'd forgotten about that pink 260 branding. Nice. Some good rare pictures in that link, including a Network Harborne branded Merc. Thanks for posting.
