Shortest lived bus routes

What was the S8? Remember seeing it on bus stops but not sure of the route. That couldn't have lasted long, along with the s6, although that's now the s15? And the s12 didn't last too long, especially the airport extention

What about the L1 (Birmingham - Walmley) and L2 (Erdington - Sutton Coldfield), used to be operated by the B6s?

S8 used to be an Evenings and Sundays only NXWM run service from Solihull to Dickens Heath. AG ran it with B6s.  Never got on it personally but with NXWM cutting down on costs in 2010 it was one of the routes they wanted to be rid of. Another short lived service was the S4A/S4C - amount of times the S4 has been changed is unbelievable. Used to run from Solihull to Robin Hood, via part of the 5 route and then Cheswick Green. Then got changed to a circular service, once again run by Grosvenor. Then Signature took it over - running along Sharmans Cross Road with the MCV Evolution, to Cheswick Green. Now goes along Blossomfield interworking with the S2!

Yes, thought the S8 was an evening/ Sunday Service

the 958 (Airport? to Birmingham via Golden Hillcok Rd) didnt last long and the (old) 58 was soon brought back

The 102 was a short lived variation of the 10. If only this route had not been tampered with as it was a great route to getting into town quickly and much faster than the 103.

There was the 110 too.

Caught both the 102 and 110, think it was around 2006 when these operated, lived just off West Boulevard at the time.  The 102 ran during the daytimes with the 10 still operating evenings/Sundays I believe.  The 110 (which kind of replaced the 102 I think) was never really a success, didn't seem busy, certainly not from Blackheath.  Neither route seemed to pick up many passengers around Quinton Road West either as they were going the opposite way to the 103, and most people waited for the 103 into town as it was more frequent, and there were always few passengers along Gillhurst Road and Augustus Road.
