One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Why was 4142 on a 98 yesterday?

That's incredibly rare. I thought DDs were unsuitable due to the trees on Wheeley's Road?

Trident 4609

598 on WN59 (All day board). Replaced 4566 i think

Don't know what it was doing. I was walking up Quarry Lane and as I got to the Bristol Road that 4142 was flying upward with98E Northfield on the front. It was carrying passengers so my only guess is that one was missing so they got a bristol road bus to do from great park to Northfield before running dead back to garage.

I have no clue regarding the 957 809 though .
