Dear me, I hope they haven't paid a lot of money to some marketing/design agency for "that"!

Looks like it has been generated by AI, with the prompt being "design a boring and insipid new logo"

I am seeing a trend in companies redesigning their logos, and to be honest I don't see why. First's current logo is instantly recognisable wherever you go in the country.

Rule number one of branding, if you have a recogniseable logo, don't change your logo!
And I see we haven't got over the awful fad of all lowercase letters yet.

Was going to say it looks it was designed by a child, but that would be an insult to the child.

Honestly I actually quite like it! I do prefer the old and I don't get what the need of changing it is, but I reckon in a few years no one will bat an eyelid and it will be instantly recognisable the same way the existing one is. That already seems to have happened with Arriva's rebrand from 2018! A lot of people dislike change, and sometimes it's warranted, but mostly it's just caused by unfamiliarity which fades with time, and I feel like this is a case of the second.

Basically what I'm saying is you'll get used to it!
