I'm starting to have my concerns... Is it just me, or does the 997 appear more often on short journeys to Pheasey / Deers Leap. Ever since I was in town from the beginning of the summer holidays, i've noticed more and more 997E on buses, mainly the new e400s.  ???

That would be because it's every 10 min to pheasey and half hour beyond to Walsall, so yes there will be more 997E journeys
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

It used to be that a bus did a full 997 from Walsall then a 997E to Pheasey and back to Brum then a full 997 back to walsall but i think it now does another 997E? Correct me if i'm wong (Don't really pay attention when i ride the 997

6 an hour to Pheasey, 2 an hour to extend to Walsall.
Class 153, 155 and 156. The Super Sprinters
Local Routes: 21, 89, 48/A, 12/A, 54/A
Semi-local routes: 80, 87

BU07 LGO

but the extras have been replaced with 934 journeys and 936 which is often quicker from Pheasey to catch a 936 to Aldridge and then a 6 to walsall

Oh okay. I was confused as i don't really get the 997 as much... I'm not really a Walsall person, but Kingstanding & Sutton Coldfield is as close as I will get. Probably West Bromwich

I to think PB should operate the 997 because:
1:It runs straight past the garage(PB)
2:Most of the journeys are to Pheasey (no where near walsall)
But WA should run the 51 & X51 and the 934/5/5A/6
33 Asda Queslett via Perry Barr, Kingstanding, Pheasey
7 Sutton Coldfield via Witton, Perry Common, Boldmere

Westy

Well if PB somehow manage to reduce its responsibilities then they'll probably take some journeys on.

Until then......

I drove the 997 at PB, thought I'd learnt the route, first trip on there and took a wrong turn! 2953 was the bus.

As the X51 & 997 now inter work, it's not going to happen
