Don't really agree with Pensnett withdrawing NXWM liveried B6LEs unless they are mechanically knackered (541, 594, 645).

mranon

thought 401 was in coventry with 412

Tony

Both returned to Miller Street a couple of weeks ago, 412 was sent to the 'car park' with all the other Excels, 401 remained at Miller Street

mranon

what is the excels fate? i was suprised to see some ex nxwm solos with banga.

Pete,

541 was an early NXWM repaint and hasn't been refurbished, 594 & 645 however, are both more recent repaints, 645 at least has been refurbished / re-trimmed in the latest blue moquette, I think 594 was also refurbished a few years back when used on the Blythe Valley shuttle. You may find that 594 & 645 if mechanically sound, may be transferred elsewhere to withdraw TWM liveried / un-furbished examples

Hopefully. It would make sense.

594 and 595 were both getting a bit 'tired' when they finished duties at AG, I think they were only repainted back into red/white before they left there, still they were in much better condition than some other B6LEs out there!
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Last I knew it was in Lea Hall

Liberator9

Thanks! I assume it will be scrapped one day soon?

595 is now at BC on the 636, see photo on main site

Vehicles are withdrawn based on cost ie if repaint and refurbed off site the value goes up but if refurbed at home garage no value is added to the vehicle

556 was my all round favourite B6. Is it still at Miller Street or is it bound for the scrapman

Liberator9

I think it is at Miller Street as its not on the list for Lea Hall. I would suspect it will go to the scrapman as so many Crusaders have due to rot on their chassis sadly (e.g 501, which I was lucky enough to get on and loved it). I've found some pics on flickr of 556 to remind you of better days!
