The bus that got damaged had to be one of the newer buses First have got hadn't it! Glad to hear the driver was fine though.

Imagine what Jane Austen would say:
"The dangers of crossing Cheap Street on foot are only equalled by the danger to public carriages striking the bridge at Jews Lane in Twerton"
Although ironically, Cheap Street in modern times is fairly empty, and the bridge struck by the bus was a railway bridge which would be just a little to new for Austen to write about.
Back on topic:
Will we in future see bridge warning sensors on all buses regardless of height?
