Brighton & Hove's new Streetdeck's also have a wow factor complete with cumfy seats. Full destinations front and rear, mind you they are enabling replacement of the oldest buses in the fleet built in 2002 which were the last buses that didn't have this feature.

I have to say in my opinion from the front they do have a wow factor, wow they do look awful!

I agree, Wright seem to have lost the plot in the last few years.

It's not just Wright who have lost the plot.  Brighton and Hove have lost it as well and have become very mediocre since their old Managing Director Roger French retired.  It's sad to see how far B&H has gone backwards since he left.

As far as the Streetdecks are concerned, they are ugly and the livery is disgusting - the old Coastliner-branded red and cream livery was smart so why replace it with something as awful as this.

I won't comment about the "Paddle Around The Pier" livery on 664 as I might get banned from the forum for bad language.  They have also desecrated Volvo B9TL 421 with an allover "livery" - it can be admired at http://www.buses.co.uk/news/story.aspx?articleid=2974

It will be interesting to visit the area next month and find out whether the Streetdecks are as good on the steep hills of route 12 as the long wheelbase Omnidekkas they are replacing.  They will be a hard act to follow.
