If so which ones?
Of course they will. First question is a bit obvious
As I always say I cannot do advance information, only what has happened

YW won't be losing anything - older vehicles will be replaced by newer ones. :azn:

No, what I am saying is to actually read the article properly, and understand what words like "rumours" actually mean. I wrote that article in good faith based on information that had been provided me at the time.

Like I said, it was written in December 2023 over a year ago now, it has not aged well admittedly, but I stand by what I wrote at the time.

And please don't compare my website to Birmingham Live - I am not a full-time journalist, I do what I do voluntarily in my own free-time.

The article was presented speculatively, not stating facts. Of course, plans change and things go wrong.
Ah, doesnt look like wolverhampton will yet electrics any time soon sadly.

Personal blogs aren't and never have been used for proof of anything unless explicitly said information came from an official channel.

They will do, eventually, just not in the timescale that was originally predicted - we're nearly a quarter of the way into 2025 and Yardley Wood still haven't had all theirs yet!

Still waiting for the Hydrogens delivered 4 years ago to all be out in regular service yet!
Doesn't listen to people with more than ten toes.

Well that's a whole separate issue, and that's why NX abandoned any further investment in hydrogen vehicles.

Hopefully, wonder what theyll replace the eclipse with tho. Used quite frequently here as some routes can't sustain DDs. GB Kites would be a amazing replacement

They're repainting them into grey last time I checked and they probably have a good few years in them yet I imagine.

I imagine the ones currently based at Coventry will move over at some point to another garage as well.

Could be converted to EV too, those buses are fantastic to drive and pretty robust too

Ronnoc

Wrightbus have their "Repower" service to convert their older diesel vehicles to electric buses. I don't know how willing NX is to convert their few Gemini 2s and Streetdecks. I don't think they offer the conversion for Eclipse Urban 2s.

the gemini 2 are volvo b5lh hybrids, not straight diesel so doubt that, but be interesting if wrights are only offering it on their integral vehicles. Im sure i heard in the press that the big story involves a company in oxford with the repower solution
