Longest board I've seen was 63-04 before I retired.

I think it was 0401 out of garage (or was it book on?)
Then 16-odd bristol road trips from what I recall, and back in depot for 24-something or other.

Crazy, its tank must be dry by then.

9/01 is much longer than that, as I have already explained, see a previous post in this thread

I know Matt I was just mentioning the longest board I've seen with my own eyes. You must remember that everything is not a competition.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Ah, thought you meant it was the longest board you were aware of. Sorry, mustn't let myself get so competitive(!)

Most Rail services often 'roster' a Unit/Locomotive to a specified service for several days. Is there a similar arrangement with bus services?...or does the driver take the 'first off the rank' so to speak? One other point, are there any plans to transfer 2154 from PE to CV?...  :-\ As  this is the only WM vehicle Iv'e not seen in service can anyone tell me how long I might expect  to wait around Dudley bus stn to see it?  thanks.

It's been at Coventry for a good few months now! Went over for type training before there new B7's arrived and never came back sadly, has been repainted into blue and the seats replaced with standard issue

You're talking about 2153 Matt. 2154 is still at PE.

I did wonder when I wrote all that out that something didn't quite sound right! Thanks

Does show though that splitting the batch like that doesn't make much sense, its enough to get even a close PE follower confused

2154 was my ride home tonight from Dudley on the 241 ;)
