I would extend the 55 (DIA) from both ends, from Cape Hill, I would extend it to Bearwood & from Brandhall, I would extend to Halesowen, and give it a half hourly frequency. It currently serves as a useful route, but I think there's a lot more than could be done with it

54 would be MUCH eaiser extending to Halesowen as its half hourly and finishes at world's end

Do those little scrubby routes get any custom?

What's the one that terminates at Faraday Avenue, Shops? I don't see anyone waiting for it - ever.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

I don't understand why the 54 was extended to Worlds End permanently either.  I can't imagine it picks up any customers.  After all, there will have been a reason why the 445 only ran to Worlds End during peaks, all other off peaks terminated at Quinton.

Would there be much point with the 99 serving that area?

55 gets a fair amount of passengers around the Smethwick area. The 54 was permanently extended to Worlds End due to changes in the Sandwell Bus Network. The 54 (formerly 445) has never been a busy service during its life
