Bus Cleaners

Does anyone know if there are any bus cleaners vacancies available as i would like to do the job. I was doing work experience in October 2004 at the Walsall garage but from what i have seen on the NXWM site for months is they are only recruiting drivers. . . Are the cleaners jobs just for people that know someone working for them or is it a private company cleaning the buses these days?

You would probably have to enquire at your local garage.

For NXWM, try ringing the Coach Station switchboard on 08450 130 130, and ask to speak to somebody in Bus Human Resources to find out if there are any local vacancies.

Cleaners are mainly sub contracted in from other companies, working night shifts. If you enjoy cleaning up vomit, urine and filth I wish you all the best in your search.

Just to point out NXWM are currently recruiting for cleaners at various garages.

How do I Apply as I've not seen anything on there website and would I need to be qualified or is training given on the job?

I can't remember if it is vacancy number NX022 or NX023. There is an email address with the current job adverts (jobs_newm@nationalexpress.com), just email them asking for a vacancy pack for the ancillary cleaners role.  That will then contain all the information you need.
