Quote from: Tony on July 02, 2025, 04:04:34 PMNot much use when the wires are wrapped around a train. The diesel Stansted to Birmingham has been there since 1338, only just getting to New Street at 1605
Ah well. that would make a difference, see from working on the Railway "Wires Are Down" usually meant power failure.

What makes you think they would cause damage. If you must know in the 5 years I have been working down there the class of passenger you carry is much higher than most services. They are virtually all extremely polite, appreciate the service and are a pleasure to carry.
I'm not at all surprised, at the best part of £400 per ticket + food and drink expense, the demographic at festivals is not what many think.

Various other short workings including to California too. 23/24 were running up to an hour late or worse this evening due to traffic issues on Suffolk Street.

Quote from: Sandy Lane on July 02, 2025, 06:20:37 PMThks. It was 15007 working in Coventry that I spotted.
Presume then that it has been subbed out to the Coventry depot?
It's based at Redditch.

So from 20th July is it just the 19, 76 and the 41 serving the QE Hospital main entrance? For one of the largest hospitals in the UK that's an absolute joke.

If there's one place that needs public transport to its door it's a major hospital.

Issues with cars and taxis blocking bus access have been largely alleviated with the outside lane being a bus lane so it's a surprise to see services being diverted away.

They were actually spraying the temporary bus station with water to keep the dust down!
